The Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation would like to inform employees of the Produce Exchange, Farmers in New Providence and the Family Islands and the general public that effective Monday, February 3, 2020, the operations of the Produce Exchange will be relocated temporarily to the compound of BAIC, Old trail Road. Management of BAIC would also like to emphasize that this relocation is temporary.
This move is in keeping with the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources plans to renovate another facility on Potters Cay Dock over the next several weeks to house the Produce Exchange. Massive renovations are expected to take place to bring the main facility up to an acceptable standard.
The Produce Exchange serves as a central collection point and distribution center for agriculture products from registered farmers in New Providence and the Family Islands.
