On Saturday January 20th, 2018 BAIC held its first ‘Popup Farmer’s Market’. This initiative is geared towards delivering the weekly supply of fresh produce coming in from Family Island Farmers directly to local consumers. Under the vision of BAIC’s Executive Chairman Michael A. Foulkes M.P., a clear mandate has been set to enlighten Bahamians about what produce is available on a weekly basis; while providing them at affordable prices.

This past Saturday, the produce sold out within hours. We had a high demand for Zucchini and Papaya. Throughout the day the produce available included: Purple Cabbage, Tomatoes, Zucchini, and Papaya – Andros grown; Pumpkin – Eleuthera grown. In addition to the above items, patrons were also able to purchase jams, healthy bars, herbal teas, juices, pepper sauces, fresh coconut, organic eggs, pastries and much more from other vendors.

Stay tuned to our social media platforms and website for great weekly produce prices and availability.
